Oh geez…blueberries are in season here, but I just couldn’t buy any. What do I do with blueberries? I could make pancakes, but I don’t need to eat pancakes all by myself. I could make a pie, but then I have the same problem! Still, every shop had piles of absolutely stunning fresh blueberries, blackberries, and even raspberries!

Instead, I bought a few heirloom tomatoes, a bunch of basil (mmmm…pesto), a couple ears of corn (we’ll see if I actually get around to cooking those), some jalapeños, a chunk of local cheese, a loaf of bread, and a small bunch of fresh thyme.

There was no common theme to my purchases, but I just had a delicious tomato sandwich with the bread, tomato and cheese. The tomato is so huge, I’ll probably be able to eat it for days. I should find something to do with the other two I bought real quick.
